celebrating the love that saves animal lives.

We're honoring those people who put their love into action every day to create a significant lifesaving impact for animals.

And in doing so, we're creating a new future for animals and the people who love them. See our 2017 Lifesaving Impact Award Winners below and share their amazing stories to help inspire action on behalf of animals in need.

The 2017 Lifesaving Awards

On Friday, May 19, 2017, we awarded seven special individuals and organizations with a "lovey" award as a tribute to their love and relentless determination to save animal lives. See their stories below.

Founder Award

Brian Devine
The Petco Foundation was founded in 1999, because one man, Brian Devine had the foresight to create the Foundation to help save animal lives. Petco has never sold dogs and cats in its stores, because people like Brian believed in the importance of pet adoption. Since 1999, the Petco Foundation has invested more than $185 million dollars in animal welfare organizations throughout the country. In recognition of his contributions, Brian Devine received the Petco Foundation Founder Award.
