be a foster

save pet lives

On Saturday, June 29 from 1:30 – 3:30pm local time, join animal welfare organizations and the Petco Foundation at Petco stores across the country to learn how you can be a lifesaver by fostering pets in need. Local animal welfare organizations will be in participating Petco locations to help you learn more/meet pets in need of foster homes, learn how to bottle feed kittens and see how fostering pets can help save lives. If less than 2% of pet-owning households in the U.S. fostered one pet a year, we could eliminate unnecessary euthanasia in shelters tomorrow!

Find a Shelter or Rescue Near You

Shelters and Rescues across the nation are looking for foster parents for various pets in their care. Get in contact with your local shelter to see how you can help.

Benefits of Fostering

Fostering opens up an additional spot at your local shelter or rescue to help even more animals. It also allows the pet to get used to home life and takes them away from the stress of a shelter. This allows a pet’s true personality to come out and shine. Plus, it can be a fun and educational experience for you and your family.

Can't Foster But Want To Help?

If fostering isn’t possible for you right now, don’t worry. You can still help save lives by donating today!
